Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about booking tickets


Q1: How do I get my tickets?

Polrail Service offers many options for ticket delivery. Our recommended (and least expensive) option is UPS courier delivery directly to your hotel in Poland. When you arrive at your hotel, your tickets are waiting for you at the reception.

We also have pickup points in most major Polish cities, where you can pick up your tickets. We have pickup points in Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan, Wroclaw, Katowice, Gdansk, Gdynia, Szczecin, Lublin and other locations.

We can also ship tickets worldwide, either by UPS courier, Express Mail and in some cases, standard air mail. Please note—we cannot guarantee delivery times for air mail, and cannot take responsibility if your tickets are delayed in the post!

Q2: I want to pick up my tickets. How do I do that?

Please choose your preferred pickup point as you place your order. Complete instructions will be e-mailed to you once your order is processed. See how does our service work here.

Q3: Can you issue an e-ticket?

We can issue e-tickets for most direct connections within Poland. The option for an e-ticket will be shown as you place your order. If the name of the traveller is different that the person ordering the ticket, please supply this name in the order comments box. If you would like to find out if e-ticketing is available for your trip, please contact us.


Q1: What credit cards do you accept?

We accept VISA, VISA Electron, MasterCard, MasterCard Electronic and Maestro cards.

Q2: Can I pay by bank transfer?

This is possible for larger orders. We can accept bank transfers in PLN (Polish zloty) and EUR (Euro). Please contact us for more information.

Q3: How much do my tickets cost in (pounds, Euro, dollars, ….)?

As Polrail Service is based in Poland, our prices are shown in Polish zloty (PLN). You can convert prices to your currency using the currency converter on the right hand side of the page.


Q1: Why can’t I find the connection I need?

Our domestic booking system shows direct trains between major cities in Poland. If your city isn’t shown, or you’d like to see other options involving a change of trains, please request a Custom Price Quote.

Q2: Why is the date I want to travel on greyed-out?

If your travel is in the next few days, the dates are already greyed-out because there won’t be enough time to issue and ship paper tickets. Please request a Custom Price Quote and we’ll see if there is another way we can service your request.

If your travel date is further in the future, then booking may not yet be open. We start accepting orders for travel starting 60 days before the date.

Q3: Why is the price shown as 0PLN (international booking)?

Please fill out the passenger information correctly. The boxes ask for the age of each passenger, not the quantity. Once filled out correctly, you will see the ticket price.

Q4: Can I buy only a reservation?

If you already have a rail pass or other international ticket, please request a Custom Price Quote, giving details of the ticket/pass you hold.

Q5: Do you sell tickets for other countries in Europe?

Yes. Polrail Service is an agent of Deutsche Bahn (Germany Railways), Trenitalia and Italo (Italian Railways), and SNCF (French Railways, as well as Thalys, Eurostar and RENFE [Spain]), RZD (Russian Railways), UZ (Ukrainian Railways), Amtrak (USA) and we have access to train tickets Europe-wide (and also to the CIS states, including Russia, Ukraine and Belarus). Please request a Custom Price Quote.

Q6: I didn't get an e-mail from you. What should I do?

We correspond with customers and send our e-tickets by e-mail. It's important that you correctly enter your e-mail address when registering in our online store. You can always check your e-mail address by logging in to your account.

If you're expecting an e-mail from us and think you didn't get one, please check your spam/junk mail folder. Otherwise, please feel free to contact us and request that the e-mail be re-sent.
