Travel by night

The most convenient and comfortable way to travel between Krakow and Prague is to catch the direct night train. This train carries have 2nd class seats and a couchette car. Couchettes can be booked in compartments with 4 or 6 beds. Couchette compartments are always mixed-sex. The price includes pillow, bedding and blanket.
 

A more comfortable way to travel between Kraków and Prague is to travel via Katowice. You will take a Polish domestic train with standard seats for the short distance to Katowice, and then board a night train with sleeping cars with 1-, 2- or 3-person standard and deluxe compartments. Sleeping cars have individual beds, a wash basin and room for luggage. You can book just one bed in a Double or Triple, but compartments are gender-specific unless you book the entire compartment. The price includes a pillow, bedding and blanket. The car attendant can provide complimentary morning coffee/tea and a breakfast snack. This train also carries Deluxe Double and Single sleeping car compartments with an en-suite shower and WC. 

Travel by day connections

Travel between Krakow and Katowice and vice-versa is in a economy regional train in 2nd class. Between Katowice and Prague you will travel in a comfortable reserved seat in a EuroCity train. On this route buffet car service is available. In both directions you may have time to get something to eat or drink at Katowice railway station.
